Paddling in the Oulu estuary and at sea

Do you want to decide your own destination on the water? For the self-crewed, there are easy and safe kayaking routes around the islands of the estuary and an atmospheric route through the Oulu Amazon, or Mustasalmi, through Hietasaari and out to sea.

The adventurous can paddle through Toppilansalmi towards Nallikar and return through Mustasalmi back to the estuary and enjoy Oulu from the waves! You can grab an inflatable canoe or SUP board from the rental shop and head to Oulu's other water bodies, Lake Kuivas, Lake Pyykösjärvi and Lake Valkiaisjärvi, a favourite with locals. The best summer moments also include taking part in a relaxing guided kayaking trip, where you can share the experience with other participants.
